The fall semester is over and it's too late for students who want to have their voice heard in the Courier.

All semester the staff here has written stories about tutoring being cut, atheism, administrators taking down signs and, of course, all the happenings of the great city of Farmers Branch.

What more do we need to do to get students to send us some feedback?

We are not even necessarily looking for feedback on our stories, but this is a college campus and I know most college students have strong opinions about something.

The Courier is a perfect forum for student voices to be heard and none of the 10,000 plus students here have sent us anything this whole semester.

Now's the time to shine, OK maybe not now since this story will be in the last issue of the semester.

But that just means students have the whole holiday break to think and work on some good strong opinions.

I want Brookhaven students to come back from winter break ready to read, write and react to the Courier.

I know it's not really my place to demand anything from our students, but think of it from our point of view. We work long and hard making the best paper we possibly can and it seems no one reads it.

The Courier is a student paper, which means students can be involved.

If someone likes writing they can take a beginning journalism class to see what it's like. Hell, just read the paper and send us comments.

Tell me you hate my point of view or tell me you like it. Tell me something.

Tell me I'm the worst writer in the history of the Courier and I should be fired. I can take it.

I just honestly want to know that the time and effort we put into making this paper isn't wasted.

Sure, this is what I want to do with my life so it's not wasting my time.

But for the writers out there who are just beginning, it would be nice for them to know their words are being read.

I'm going to get off my soap box now because I feel I've probably lost anyone who has been reading this nonsense.

Actually, I think I'm probably the only person who reads my columns, except of course for the other editors and my parents, so on my soap box I shall stay.

Will someone please tell me they hate me or love me?
