Life does not exist, in my mind, without emotions. Trials and tribulations should be dealt with and learned from rather than avoided and overcome. It seems to me, especially lately, that people are severely lacking in the passion department.
I would even go so far as to say people are lacking in the love department. When did people stop loving themselves?
Antonyms of apathy are listed as fervor and ardor, which are basically love and passion: a driving force that compels a person to complete, excel, transform and discover.
I am making note of this so I may be reminded of their very existence. I just wonder why people so easily forfeit the game of life and give themselves over to ignorance and unhappiness.
I would like to focus on ignorance for a moment: Whoever came up with the saying, "Ignorance is bliss," should be exiled.
I cannot understand for even a split second why someone would want to be in the dark about a situation.
In my life, I used to think there were certain subjects I could get away with not knowing about because I simply did not care about them. I was mistaken.
Thankfully, a few years later, I have come to terms with my complete and utter passion for knowledge.
I am enthralled by life's many subjects and facets to a point of overwhelming and intoxicating panic of not having enough time to absorb all of the information and truth laid out before me.
Why else would the world be so filled with intricacies and mysteries?
I can only conclude that the world is this way for a clear and distinct reason that we as human beings are meant to fulfill a purpose I shall dub: absorption of knowledge and truth.
I urge everyone to learn something new today - its originality and truth, I pray, will compel us all to seek further.
