Position: Secretary
Major: Education
Why did you run for office?
I started working in the SPAR office this semester and Ms. Yasaman told me about student government and it sounded real interesting. When it came time for people to run for positions, I decided to run for secretary because I am a very organized person and the position requires a lot of note taking and putting the agenda together. It's a lot of work but I feel really involved.
What do you want to see BSGA do this year?
I want people to just become more aware of what we do. Before I joined I didn't know what student government did. The more students I talk to and the more I attend meetings, I see we are going to do a lot of fundraising and just a lot of events not only with the school but also with the community.
What are your plans after Brookhaven?
More than likely I will go to the University of North Texas because of location purposes. I really want to get my degree in teaching and I want to teach high school English. I may end up changing my mind a million times.
