Bobby and Peter Farrelly's "The Heartbreak Kid" is a romantic comedy where the lingering question seems to be "what if … ?"

The story unfolds with Eddie Cantrow (Ben Stiller) as a hopeless bachelor in his 30s attending the wedding of his ex-fiancé. Jerry Stiller, Ben's father in real life, plays the part of Cantrow's father and constantly tries to convince him to get married and settle down. This father and son duo has tremendous chemistry on screen and it's interesting to note their different yet hilarious senses of humor.

Ben Stiller has appeared in successful films such as "Madagascar," "A Night at the Museum," "Dodgeball" and "Meet the Fockers."

Jerry Stiller has appeared in "Hairspray," "Zoolander" and let's not forget his incredible performance as the annoying dad in the comedy "The King of Queens."

In "The Heartbreak Kid," trouble begins when Eddie meets seemingly fabulous Lila (Malin Akerman who has appeared on a few episodes of "Entourage" and "The Comeback").

Due to pressure from his best friend, his father and a misunderstanding about Lila's environmental research job, Eddie decides to finally take the plunge and marry Lila after six short weeks of dating.

The marriage quickly turns to hell during their honeymoon in Cabo as Eddie realizes there are many hidden secrets and horrifying truths he was unaware of about Lila. In the blink of an eye, she goes from sexy and sweet Lila to crazy, sex-machine, demon-from-hell Lila.

As the movie progresses, Eddie seems to get himself into more and more disorder and the audience starts to wonder how the movie could possibly have closure or a suitable solution.

There really isn't a point or moral to the movie, but the lesson seems to be that people shouldn't jump into things abruptly if they aspire happiness.

Although the movie is funny for the most part, I wouldn't recommend it to the movie watcher who likes to see ends meet.
