By Marcus Terry Staff Writer Led by head coach Kevin Hurst, the Brookhaven Bears basketball team had a superior 2008-2009 season. The team played tremendous all-around team ball, which set in motion their success throughout the regular season and their advancement into the post season where the Bears journey for a championship came to an end in a down-to-the-wire loss against conference opponent Eastfield College.
Next to the Olympics, the FIFA World Cup is probably the most anticipated sporting event in the world. Countries from all ends of every continent (minus Antarctica) compete for a month to have their country deemed the one with the best soccer team in the world.
