DREAM Act gives hope to immigrants

Depending on the source, the number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. ranges from 7 million to 20 million. While the Obama administration debates what to do about illegal immigration and with the so-called criminals, what happens to the children of these immigrants? What happens to the innocent people who had no input in the decision to come to the United States? Most of these children have made their lives here and are, by all means, American regardless of their legal status.

"Keep on keeping on." I know I shouldn't start a column, story or any other piece of writing with an orphaned quote that few people will understand, but, in this instance, I couldn't resist. I worked at the Brookhaven Courier for around three years and I heard this quote many times.
